Messor barbarus is an exciting ant species that is found in large areas southern europe. These ants are seed harvesters. These can live solely off seeds but do benifit from insects and sugar water one theyr grow in size.
These colonies will only be sold if there is visible brood and workers

My first colony unfortunately because of the heat arrived dead, but the seller was incredibly kind and immediately sent me a new one without charging the price difference. The new colony is healthy and thriving. Amazing customer service, highly recommended!
